Ive never really looked at Seikos before, this weekend i thought it was about time.
This watch came with a group of other watches from a auction. The watch desperately need a service as the time keeping was terrible.
I noticed when stripping down the watch, there was a significant build up of oil as it seems the previous repairer had possibly used too much oil.
Other than that, the watch was in good condition and the polishing of the crystal made a huge difference.
The movement in this watch was a 17 Jewel 7005A
This movement had a very simple but effective winding module that was interesting to watch in action
Impressions of the quality of the watch is really good, it was a very nice watch to work on.
As usual, Strip Down, Cleaning, oiling and build images below.
