Swiss Chronograph Suisse – Two Register Landeron 48 Overhaul

I’ve always been fascinated with vintage chronographs and I remember how i was taken back when i first saw one. I was able to pick up a Chronograph Suisse in a non working state and have ago at getting it going again.

The movement is a a 17 jewel, manual wind Landeron 48, and this was the first time I have ever worked on complication like this.

The watch was all gummed up with old oil and a screw was missing inside causing a interference with the escapement., the mainspring was also snapped.

Assembly of the base module of the watch
